How We Tarp a Roof with TarpBags® or Sandbags
Because the tarp is secured with weighted anchors (TarpBags or sandbags, chosen by job and logistics) and furring strips instead of nails, the roof deck is not penetrated, which means the method adds no new holes to the roof. Because the furring strips run around the perimeter at 4 to 6 foot intervals, the anchors hold the tarp edge down along its length, which is why the system is designed for 50+ mph wind resistance when properly installed.
